Hi, I’m Renée — creative producer, talent buyer, marketing gremlin, chaos coordinator, and person most likely to start a festival just because I thought it’d be fun.

I got my start in Atlanta as a paralegal intern for entertainment attorney F. Michelle Simpson, where I learned two important things: (1) contracts are kinda sexy and (2) if you wanna work in music, you better show up — volunteer, intern, be useful, be kind.

So I did exactly that.

I cut my teeth working festivals all over the South — A3C, FPSF, Austin Psych Fest, — chasing any gig that would let me learn something, meet weirdos, and maybe get a free t-shirt. Around the same time, I consulted for indie promoters and creative businesses like ODD HOURS and Dinolion. That hustle eventually turned into internships with Front Gate Tickets, Transmission Events (the crew behind Fun Fun Fun Fest).

Somewhere along the way, I founded Noise Pollution — a Houston-based music promotions & booking project that mostly existed so I could make loud flyers, book bands I loved, and yell about it on the internet.

In Austin, I learned from some of the best — Graham Williams (Margin Walker, Resound Presents), Jason McNeely and Brian Tweedy (Hotel Vegas, Barracuda) — working on iconic events like SXSW, LEVITATION, and Hot Luck, plus a million late-night shows powered by caffeine and chaos.

I was Marketing Manager at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, NC, where I launched LFG Fest — a tiny music festival with a big heart, spotlighting emerging artists, diverse genres, and advocacy orgs doing real work.

I also threw a National Cheese Pizza Day Party during Hopscotch because honestly … I just think life should be more like a house party with a flyer.
